ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING MINUTES

June 20, 2003

The meeting was brought to order by Ralph Jones at 7:35 p.m. After a brief welcome of guests and new members, Gene Campbell lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance after listening to the Red Skelton tape on the meaning of the pledge.

The Secretary's report and Treasurer's report were approved and ordered filed.

Ralph Jones gave the Annual Report of the Association for the year 2002-03 per the attached copy. The nominating report for the new slate of officers was given by Wesley Walker 2nd then the membership elected the following for the Year 2003-04:

President Charlie Gordon presented the outgoing president, Ralph Jones with a certificate of appreciation from the association. Afterwards Delegate Ryan McDougle introduced the speaker, Congresswoman Joann Davis, First District, U.S. House of Representatives. She stated very clearly her continued opposition to the King William Reservoir and then spoke of her experiences with our troops overseas. After Representative Davis's talk she then presented a congressional plaque to the King William County Board of Supervisors in recognition of the Tri-centennial. Supervisors Gene Byrum and Ed Sterowski received this plaque.

The following donated door prizes: Victorian Pointe Bed & Breakfast, King William Hair & Body, and Wyatt Ogg Furniture Co., Inc.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
